About Permission to Play

Somewhere along the way, many of us stopped making time to play.

Life became busier. Calendars filled up. Responsibilities grew. We traded curiosity for productivity and creativity for to-do lists. Before we knew it, creating something simply because it brought us joy started to feel... frivolous.

We believe that's exactly backwards.

At Permission to Play, we believe creativity isn't about being "artistic." It's about reconnecting with yourself, slowing down, trying something new, laughing with other people, and remembering what it feels like to create without worrying whether it's perfect.

We create thoughtfully curated experiences that bring people together through art, creativity, movement, mindfulness, and play. Whether it's a women's retreat, a corporate team-building event, a bridal shower, a community pop-up, or a creative workshop, every experience is designed with one goal in mind: helping people feel more connected, to themselves and to one another.

Our experiences are welcoming to everyone, whether you've been painting for years or you're convinced you "don't have a creative bone" in your body. You don't need talent. You don't need experience. You just need a willingness to show up and give yourself permission to play.

Because some of life's best conversations happen while your hands are busy.

Some of the strongest teams are built when people create together.

Some of the deepest friendships begin around a shared table.

And sometimes, the most important thing you can make isn't a painting or a terrarium, it's space to breathe, connect, laugh, and remember who you are outside of your daily responsibilities.

Whether you're joining us at one of our public events, planning a retreat, or bringing a creative experience to your workplace or celebration, we're so glad you're here.

Let's make something beautiful together.

Permission to Play Club exists to help people reconnect. With themselves, with others, and with their creativity, through thoughtfully curated experiences that inspire joy, curiosity, and community. We believe that creativity has the power to bring people together, foster meaningful connections, and remind us that making time to play isn't a luxury, it's an essential part of living a full, balanced, and connected life.

Come Home to Yourself

Somewhere along the way, many of us became experts at taking care of everyone else.

We learned how to juggle careers, families, schedules, responsibilities, and endless to-do lists, but forgot how to simply be. We traded curiosity for productivity, rest for hustle, and meaningful connection for busy calendars.

Permission to Play Club was created as an invitation to come back.

Back to creativity.

Back to community.

Back to nature.

Back to laughter.

Back to yourself.

Because when we make space to play, create, explore, and gather, we don't escape real life—we reconnect with it.

More Than a Workshop

We don't just teach people how to paint, build terrariums, or make beautiful things.

We create spaces where conversations happen naturally, strangers become friends, creativity replaces perfection, and people leave feeling lighter than when they arrived.

Sometimes healing looks like a weekend retreat.

Sometimes it looks like hiking through the woods.

Sometimes it looks like laughing over a paintbrush or sitting around a campfire.

Sometimes it simply looks like giving yourself permission to pause.
